Not to be confused with the Betel Pepper which is used for chewing with the Betel Nut, The Betel Leaf Plant is an evergreen, perennial creeper that can reach 90cm. The Betel Leaf which is shiny and heart shaped can be eaten raw in salads or cooked in Asian savoury meals.
