Kokedama- Pothos Snow Queen

Our Kokedama's (aka Japanese Moss Ball) are a handmade ball of a specially blended soil and peat moss, with a plant inserted into the middle and then wrapped in sphagnum moss and Natural Jute Twine tightly. They look great sitting on a saucer or hanging by string.

They make a wonderful gift and would brighten any home or office. 

Caring for a Kokedam is really easy! You will notice when they need watering as the yarn and moss dry out or appear light in colour, or the plant looks thirsty (leaves curling or drooping) and the Kokedama will feel dry to the touch.

Once a week (or as needed, depending on plant type), put your Kokedama in a sink or bowl of shallow water and let it soak the water right up from the bottom. Once the Kokedama has soaked the water right up to the top, remove the plug and let the water drain off. It's now ready to put back on display. Between waterings you can spray leaves and Kokedama Ball with water.

The plant can live inside the Kokedama Ball until it appears strangulated by the string around the top, or roots start growing through. This generally takes 2-3 years to happen, depending on plant and other factors. Once plant has outgrown, simply cut the string off and plant into a pot.
