Taro

Colocasia Esculenta

Taro is the edible, starchy, potato like root vegetable of the Colocasia Esculenta plant. The leaves and corms (Taro) are edible but need cooking first. It is also a nice tropical foliage to have in the garden, very similar to the well known Elephant Ear.
